Dear Sundance Families,
At school, we are continuing to help students build strong skills for working and playing together. Two areas we are focusing on are:
- Respecting personal boundaries – learning how to recognize and honor each other’s personal space, voices, and feelings
 - Solving day-to-day problems – practicing strategies such as talking it out, finding compromises, asking for help when needed, and using kind words to resolve conflicts

These skills are important not only for creating a safe and caring environment at school but also for helping students build positive relationships in all areas of their lives.
We encourage you to talk with your child about what respecting personal boundaries looks like at home, with friends, and in the community. Reinforcing these ideas together will help our students grow into thoughtful, caring, and confident problem solvers.
Thank you for your continued support in building a respectful and connected school community.
We Are Connected. Nous sommes liés.
Accessible Parking: We kindly ask for your support in keeping our accessible parking space available at all times. This designated space is reserved for individuals with valid accessible parking permits and is essential for ensuring that students, families, and staff who need them can access the school safely and comfortably. Please do not park in or block this space, even for a short time.
Before School Supervision: Supervision outside starts at 7:45 am and students can enter the building at 7:55 am. Please note that for those 10 minutes outside there is no supervision of the play structure. Students are encouraged to play in the field or around their line up space.
Orange Shirt Day: On September 26, we will wear orange shirts to remember and honor the children who went to Residential Schools and to show that every child matters. By wearing orange, we show kindness, respect, and our commitment to learning and caring for one another.
Terry Fox Run: Thank you to all of our students, staff, and volunteers for supporting our annual Terry Fox Run. This event is important because it helps us carry on Terry’s dream of finding a cure for cancer. By running together, we show courage, determination, and care for others just like Terry did.
Scholastic Book Fair: Our “one night only” Scholastic book fair was successful thanks to the generosity of all our families. The Book Fair ran from 5:30-7:00 pm and despite long lines, (and very patient customers), we sold over $4200 in books/trinkets/posters. This translates into approximately $1600 worth of books for our school, of which $400 has already been selected and will be going on our shelves within the next few weeks.
Upcoming:
Friday, September 26: Tuesday/Thursday Kindergarten classes in attendance
Friday, September 26: Orange Shirt Day
Monday, September 29: Non-Instructional Day. No School for Students
Tuesday, September 30: National Truth and Reconciliation Day. No School for All
