Our School Council Playground Committee is looking for additional parent volunteers to join our team as we work toward building the new playground for our students. A quick reminder that our playground is at the end of its life, and our School is responsible for replacing it, as playgrounds are not funded within public education.

We invite you to join our upcoming virtual committee meeting to help with planning, decision-making, and identifying opportunities to move our project forward. Discussion topics will include:

• Grant application opportunities

• Current playground finances and project updates

• Parent ideas and suggestions to support our goals

• Volunteers to seek corporate donations

• Upcoming fundraising initiatives, volunteers to organize some of the initiatives

We are especially looking for parents who have experience writing grants or who are willing to learn and contribute some time to researching and writing grant applications. Securing grants will be an important part of our fundraising efforts and will help move the playground project closer to reality.

At this time, the committee has only a few parent members remaining, along with members of the school administration team. We need additional parent voices and support to help us meet important deadlines and achieve our fundraising and construction goals. Any time you can give is helpful.
