Dear Sundance families,

It was wonderful to see so many new and existing families join us for our French Immersion Information Night yesterday evening. It is always a pleasure to welcome new families and share the excitement of beginning the French Immersion journey.

Kindergarten and Grade 1 is filled with joyful learning, new friendships, and special events as students explore French through play, songs, and stories. We look forward to welcoming new families to our school community. You may find the presentation given at the meeting on the Sundance School website:

Parking Reminders: We would like to remind families that the bus zone directly outside the front of the school is to be kept clear of vehicles. For safety purposes, please do not drop off or pick up students in the staff parking lot. Our Accessible Parking spot indicated by the blue sign is for those registered drivers who need to access it. Parking is available outside Sundance Lake, just north of the school and on the south side of the crosswalk. Thank you for keeping our students safe!

Dogs on School Property: This is a reminder that CBE Administrative Regulation AR6004 Animals in Schools restricts animals on school property. Dogs are not permitted on school grounds except where expressly approved under AR6004 (e.g., service animals or authorized educational purposes). Additionally, the City of Calgary Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw prohibits dogs on school property, including playgrounds and fields.

Lost and Found: We have acquired lots of lost and found. Please ask your child(ren) to go and see the tables and racks to see if there is anything that belongs to them. The remaining items will be bagged up and donated at the end of January. You may find photos of some of the items on our website. Thank you.
