Dear Sundance Families,

Thank you to all of our new and returning Kindergarten families who joined us for our Kindergarten Orientation. It was wonderful to welcome everyone into our school and begin building connections with our newest Sundancers and their families.

The evening was filled with excitement, smiles, and a true sense of belonging. We are so grateful to be part of such an incredible and caring school community, and we appreciate the time families took to attend in person and learn more about our school.

We are already looking forward to welcoming all our new Kindergarten children in the fall and beginning this exciting journey together.

School Council at Sundance : At Sundance School, we are incredibly fortunate to have a strong and supportive School Council that works hard to create enhanced opportunities and experiences for our students. From supporting special events and initiatives to helping strengthen our school community, School Council plays a crucial role in enriching the learning experience for all Sundance students.

All parents and guardians are automatically members of the School Council, and we encourage everyone to become involved. As many of our current council members will be leaving next year alongside their Grade 6 students, we are looking for new members to help continue this important work.

We invite you to join us next Wednesday for our AGM School Council meeting to learn more about how you can be involved and make a difference in our school community. Your voice, ideas, and support are greatly valued.

We hope to see you there!

School Council/Parent Association Meeting and AGM: Sundance School Council and Parent Association (SPA), invite parents/guardians to join them virtually for the final meeting of the school year.

In addition to the agenda, found under Related Information', on the School website, there will be updates from Mme Melanie, Principal, and Mme Heather, Assistant Principal

Date: Wednesday, May 27, 2026

Time: 6:30pm

Link to join the meeting.

This is also the Annual General Meeting (AGM), where Council/SPA will be nominating members for the 2026-27 school year.

We are in desperate need of parents to join the council with many positions open. Currently, only 3% of our school community is represented through the School Council and the SPA. More support is needed as current members are juggling multiple activities and responsibilities.

Sharing roles with partners would be welcomed.

If you are interested in helping the school by being part of the Council or SPA, please consider attending.

We look forward to your participation. If you are unable to attend, please feel free to reach out via email at sundanceparentsassoc@gmail.com.
