Dear Sundance Families,
With the arrival of sunny, warmer weather, we are excited to see more opportunities for outdoor learning throughout the school day. Fresh air and time outside are wonderful for student well-being and engagement.
As we head into this seasonal change, we kindly ask for your support in helping students come prepared each day
- Hats and sunscreen are encouraged to protect from the sun
- Dress in layers, as mornings can still be cool while afternoons warm up quickly
- Please send a refillable water bottle, clearly labelled, to help students stay hydrated
- We also appreciate all clothing being labelled, as this helps us return misplaced items quickly
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable learning environment for all students.
Wellness Fair: Today was our Annual Wellness Fair with N’Step. Thank you to N’Step, our staff, students and volunteers for another exciting, informative and active day of learning.
Mental Health Week: For the week of May 4 - 8, 2026, Sundance School will be recognizing Mental Health Week, a time to build awareness, understanding, and support for mental well-being. As part of this important initiative, we will be participating in “Hats On for Mental Health” on Monday, May 4.
Students are encouraged to wear their favourite hat to school as a fun and visible way to show support for mental health awareness.
Throughout the week, we will also be engaging in classroom activities and discussions that help students:
• Talk about their feelings
• Learn strategies to support their mental well-being
• Build empathy and understanding for others
These conversations are an important part of helping students feel safe, supported, and confident in expressing themselves. We look forward to a meaningful week of learning and encourage you to continue these conversations at home.
Thank you for your support!
