The Sundance School Council and Parents Association would like to invite all Sundance students and parents to the 3rd Annual Welcome Back Picnic on Thursday, September 10, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, to celebrate the start of the 2026-27 school year.

Please bring a blanket and a meal to enjoy with your family and join us in the school field. This is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet new families in the Sundance school community.

Parents and students are invited into the school to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and see our learning environment. Teachers will have some information to share with families during the evening. Meet the Teacher is a chance to meet your child’s teacher and see their classroom. As we are still getting to know our students, individual student achievement will not be discussed at this time.

Grades 1–6: Families should visit their child’s classroom at 6:10 or 6:40 pm At each time, teachers will begin with a brief introduction and share some information with families, followed by an opportunity for students to show their families around the classroom.

Please choose one of these two times rather than arriving between sessions.

Kindergarten: Kindergarten families should visit the classroom during one of the four designated visit times below. To help spread families out and manage the number of people in the classroom at once, we suggest choosing the time that corresponds with your child’s last name:

5:30 pm — A–F

5:50 pm — G–L

6:10 pm — M–R

6:30 pm — S–Z

If your suggested alphabetical time does not work for your family, please choose one of the other designated times rather than arriving between visit times. As classroom space is limited, we also ask families to consider limiting the number of family members attending where possible.

From 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, please head into the school for the Open House to visit your child(ren)'s classroom(s) and meet Sundance's amazing staff.
