Dear Families

This upcoming Thursday evening and Friday morning we are hosting Student-Led Parent/ Teacher Conferences.

Student-Led Conferences are an important opportunity for our students to share their learning and take pride in their growth. During these conferences, students guide their families through examples of their work, talk about what they have been learning in class, and reflect on their progress so far this year.

This process helps students develop confidence and ownership of their learning while also strengthening the connection between home and school. Together, students, families, and teachers can celebrate successes and set meaningful goals for the months ahead.

We encourage all families to attend and take part in these conversations. Your interest and support help reinforce the value of learning and show students that their efforts at school truly matter. Book your conference through your child’s MyCBE account. Conferences close for booking the evening before.

Scholastic Book Fair: The next Scholastic Book Fair will take place during the Student-Led Parent/Teacher Conferences in the school gymnasium.

Dates/Times:

Thursday, March 19, 3:30-7:00pm

Friday, March 20, 8:00-11:00am

Please note that the doors will close promptly at the scheduled times so don't delay shopping for your books.

Credit/debit is the preferred method of payment. Please help our school meet our goal and inspire 'book joy' in all students. Scholastic gives back a portion of every dollar spent at the Fair as rewards to our school! Thank you for your support.

We are looking for volunteers to help out at the Book Fair. Since this does not involve direct supervision of students and not held during school hours, a police clearance is not required. Each volunteer will receive a $10 credit to spend at the Book Fair. Please use the sign up if you are able to help. Thank you .

February Report Cards: Have you downloaded your child’s report card yet? Report cards are available in MyCBE accounts until May 29, 2026 only. After that date, they are removed and parents are unable to view, download or print these documents.

From Sundance School Council:

The next School Council and Parent Association Meeting will take place, virtually, on Tuesday, March 17 at 6:30pm.

The link to join the meeting and meeting agendas may be found on the School website.

In addition to the agendas, there will be updates from School Administration and the Grade 1 teachers will be presenting a showcase of learning.

Purdys for the Playground: Just a friendly reminder that our Purdys Chocolate Fundraiser for the new playground is underway! Orders must be placed by Wednesday, March 18 so they arrive in time for Easter. Order here:

Pick-up: Wednesday, April 1, 2:00-5:00pm at the school

Thank you for supporting our playground project — every order helps!

Bottle Drive for the Playground: Please save your bottles and bring them to the school during Conferences on March 19 and 20. There will be a trailer parked in the road in front of the school. If the trailer isn't open, please leave the bags beside the trailer. Don't forget to stop by and check out the exciting playground design on display before heading to your child’s classroom.
