Attendance Matters: Each school day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with others. Regular attendance and arriving on time help students begin their day ready to learn and fully participate in classroom activities.
Thank you to our families for making daily, punctual attendance a priority. When challenges arise, we encourage families to work with the school so that together we can support consistent attendance and student success.
Safe Steps at School: Every safe choice makes a difference! We remind students and families to walk on the sidewalks and avoid walking through the parking lot when arriving at or leaving school. By staying on designated walkways, we can all help make arrival and dismissal safer for everyone.
Rescheduled Fall Assembly: Families are invited to The Welcome Back Fall Assembly, led by Mme Melanie and Mme Heather.
When: Thursday, October 22, 2026, 9:00am.
Inspired by the book Be a Good Ancestor/ Laisse un bel héritage, students will explore how the choices we make today can help create a caring, respectful, and inclusive future for our school community.
During the assembly, we will introduce our teachers and staff, reference the CBE's Student Code of Conduct, and our shared expectations for learning and belonging to celebrate the importance of treating one another with kindness and respect.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Picture Re-Take Day: Lifetouch will be taking student photos on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 for those students who were absent on September 15/16, 2026.
Please let the classroom teacher know if your child(ren), was absent or you would like a re-take.

- The Halloween Dance is next week, Thursday October 22, from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Admission Vouchers will be handed to students to bring home on October 20 and 21
- We are still looking for volunteers to make this an amazing event for students. You can sign up here
- Cake Walk donations are always welcome! Check the cake walk donation spot here
- If you have extra Admission Vouchers that are no longer required, please reach out to sundancesocialcord@gmail.com so we can offer them to a family on our waiting list

NOTE: if your child(ren) is/are absent on distribution day, please call the School Office before noon to inform whether you will be collecting the order. There is no means to store any orders not collected.
Volunteers are needed to make this great event happen. Please sign up here to volunteer. A police clearance and Annual Volunteer Registration Form completed are required to be able to volunteer.
